What is My Emotional World?

My Emotional World is an online counselling service, which allows the user to connect with an experienced psychologist tailored to their needs.

Areas we treat

At My Emotional World we offer psychological treatments for adults and children: depression, anxiety, couple, sexual, self-esteem / personal development, social / family, work / academic, bereavement, and much more.

We also offer an online speech therapy service, also for children and adults: The speech therapy attention and treatment in our centre focuses on improving the communicative competence of those who need it through a therapeutic process adapted to the needs of the person.

How does the first free session work?

If it is the first time you use MyEmotionalWorld you can make a first consultation where you will get all the necessary information to start the therapy. This first appointment will only be made at the express request of the client before starting the therapy. To do this you must request it through the chatbot located in the lower right corner of the web, in our email or by calling customer service. It will have a maximum duration of 30 minutes.

Can I change psychologist?

No problem. The user can request a change of psychologist if he/she does not feel comfortable with the current one, either due to incompatibility of schedules, lack of personal connection, etc. You can request a change of therapist through your current psychologist, or by writing to us through our contact form.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, if you do not want to continue with the therapy or if your psychologist has recommended that you terminate the therapy, you can cancel at any time via your account settings. This way you will not be able to renew your subscription at the end of the plan.

How often is it advisable to have a session?

As a general rule, it is advisable to have a session every 7 to 10 days. This periodicity is adequate so that the techniques learnt in the sessions can be implemented in the person’s day to day life and be incorporated naturally. Once the situation is stabilised, this period between sessions is extended until discharge.

Is it possible to change the time of a session after having booked it?

Yes, you just have to let us know and we will find a date that suits you better, as long as the change is made 24 hours before the appointment.

Before starting the therapy, can I ask any questions?

Of course you can, and we recommend that before starting the therapy you ask us all your questions, this will be done free of charge and without any obligation, so that our staff can guide you on the type of therapy that is best suited to your particular case and answer any questions that arise, either about the development of the therapy or about the operation of our services.

How long does the therapy last?

The duration of therapy depends on many factors, and each case requires a very different amount of time. Characteristics such as personality and surrounding circumstances, as well as the individual’s predisposition to therapy, can influence the individual’s progress through the treatment plan faster or slower. However, on average, clients who use our services undergo a therapeutic process of approximately 3 to 6 months.

What do I need to get started?

Just choose a therapy plan, one, four or eight sessions, and once chosen set a date and time from those available to have the first appointment. The process is very easy and intuitive, where you will have our virtual agent Noah to help you at any time, as well as our contact form.

Can I cancel an appointment?

Yes, you can cancel an appointment as long as you cancel it at least 24 hours in advance. After that time, the appointment will be counted as completed. 

Is my information and data protected?

In My Emotional World we are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of both personal data and any information relating to therapy, complying with the measures required by the Law on Protection of Personal Data (LPD), as stated in the legal terms and conditions of use.

If, due to technical problems, I can't have the consultation, what happens?

Don’t worry, we will postpone the session to another day that is convenient for you.
